Restaurants in Indonesia

Have you ever eaten in a Chinese restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, a western restaurant, or an Indonesian restaurant? As Indonesian people, of course some of you have ever gone there. Moreover, most of you are fans of them. Furthermore, there are lots of kinds of restaurant in Indonesia, but I am just going to tell you four kinds of restaurant in Indonesia which are familiar for ordinary people.
First of all, certainly Indonesia has so many Indonesian restaurants which spread out from Sabang to Merauke. Indonesian restaurant also has so many kinds restaurant such as Padangnese restaurant, Sundanese restaurant, and so on. Actually in these kinds of restaurants, they serve all of traditional foods like ‘sate padang’ (roasted dices meat which are pricked and added by spicy sauce), ‘sop buntut Bandung’(clear oxtail soup served with steamed rice, vegetables, crackers, pickles and sambal), ‘gulai kepala kakap’ (braised snapper head in spicy sauce), and et cetera.
In addition, Chinese restaurant is also one of the most familiar restaurants. This kind of restaurant is relatively well-known for Indonesian people because Chinese people are also the major of Indonesian people. They usually serve any kind foods from their country where they originally come from such as dim sum, spicy Beijing duck, kung pao chicken (spicy fried chicken that mix up with some vegetable), crab Rangoon(like croquettes which has highly spiced crab inside) and so on.
The next restaurant is western restaurant. This sort of restaurant expands in Indonesia, generally franchise businesses like Mc Donald’s, Texas, A&W, and so forth. As a rule, generally they serve foods which contain with full of fat. For samples, they are any kind of steaks, burger, hotdog, etc. However, there are also some which do not contain by fat such as some special salads.
The last but not least is Japanese restaurant. Nowadays, there are lots of sort of Japanese restaurant spread out in Indonesia and other countries in the world. They usually serve foods that have ingredients such as raw material for samples sashimi, some of sushi etc. Furthermore, they also dish up chicken ‘katsu’(fried chicken added by spices sauce), ‘tamago nigiri’(steamed rice piled by a slice omelet), ‘tempura’, ‘tonjiru (miso soup contains with vegetable and pork)’ etc.
In conclusion, so many traditional foods, oriental foods and western foods can be reached in Indonesia. Because of that, you do not need to go abroad in aim to get kinds of foods in the world in case you are bored with Indonesian food. Would you try it?
